DIVING in ST. CROIX
St. Croix sits on a narrow shelf surrounded by a wall that drops more than 4,000 feet deep. The island offers a diverse selection of world-class dive sites.. in fact its one of the only places you can dive a wreck, a wall, a pier and a reef, all in the same vacation!
CANE BAY BEACH DIVE
Our favorite dive and snorkel site is on the shelf’s edge, or the "wall" at Cane bay, Aquaman's shop location. This is an easy shore-entry dive and has been recognized as one of the top ten dive sites in the Caribbean. Excellent visibility, beautiful coral and bountiful sea life make it a spectacular dive for any level diver.
This fantastic and easy shore dive is also one of our favorite night dives. The old structure is considered one of the most superior macro dives in the world.
Sea Horses call the pier home, as well as plenty of colorful fish and sea turtles too. This is a fun and shallow dive, with a depth ranging from 15 to 50 feet.
The lights on the pier make a glowy ambience underwater on our evening dives!
BUTLER BAY WRECKS
There are several wrecks to choose from at this location, though our favorite is the "Tugboat" because of the abundance of life and the likliness to see pelagic fish. This is a dramatic dive site full of exciting marine life including sea turtles, stingrays, large yellowtail and much more.
